Good Afternoon, Hope everyone was able to spend time with people they love the most in their lives this past week during Valentine's Day as I know the 4th Graders greatly enjoyed their celebration, and exchanging of Valentine's.  Good Afternoon, The students persevered through this bitterly cold week that had them inside for much of the week not being able to get outside for recess. Although some liked the idea of being able to stay inside, all in all they were able to "get through" the week without having the chance to run around, and enjoy some fresh air. We are deep into our reading, and writing units where students are gaining great independence being champions of their learning, and they finished up another math unit this past week. The students seemed poised to take on the final 4 months of the school year with great enthusiasm and excitement to be great everyday. Week in Review: Leader in Me: Our class talked about being loyal to the absent. Ask your child, “What does it mean to ‘be loyal to the absent’?” Writing: Writers are finishing up their second informational book, but this book they have taken on just a chapter with an emphasis on included various text features that are found in the non
