Memorial Day Weekend

Image
Good Afternoon, What a week it was as the 4th graders put on a beautiful concert and received their NDLC diplomas on Wednesday night. Followed that with an amazing sun filled day of walking to the library, and picnic at the park. A wide range of emotions filled the week from happiness to sadness, and I think a little bit of everything in between; which must be a good thing because then it means you were a part of something special, and that is what I think we have here at NDLC, something special. With the last couple of days approaching, if their is any questions or anything you have wonderings about please do not hesitate to reach out as I will help in any way I can. Wishing everyone a safe, happy, and healthy Memorial Day Weekend! A Look Ahead: May 27th - No School May 28th - Mini Courses / Field Day I will be sending home i-Ready results this day in a folder for students.  May 29th - Last Day of School Students do not need to bring their backpacks the last two days if they don't...

Good Afternoon, Hard to believe the last full week of school has already passed. It's been quite an amazing year with so much to celebrate! I look forward to making each of these last days count, and making each 4th grader happy that they can call themselves NDLC Huskies when they finish! Hope everyone enjoys the beautiful weather this weekend! Week in Review: Leader in Me:  This week, we learned about 3rd Alternatives. Watch the Landfill Harmonic video on Leader in Me Online and discuss these questions: Where did you see examples of synergy? Do you agree or disagree with this statement: Without synergy, there would be no Landfill Harmonic. Writing:  Writers are finishing up their 2nd graphic novels, and are working on some final revisions and edits before bringing that work home! Math: Mathematicia...

Good Afternoon, It was so amazing to see the turnout at the 4th Graders Graphic Novel writing celebration. I can't say thank you enough for taking time out of your days to come in, and support the 4th graders as they beamed with pride putting their graphic novels on display for everyone. It was a reminder for me of how special a place NDLC is because of the families, students that us as teachers get the privilege to work alongside on this learning journey. I look forward to these last few weeks, and continuing to create more special moments for these 4th graders as they finish they elementary schooling careers here at NDLC. Lastly, I want to say Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing moms; I hope you all enjoy your weekends! Week in Review: Leader in Me:  This week we learned to contrast valuing and accepting differences. We also learned how to use many strengths to solve a problem.
